
Job Description:
Supervises assigned Route Sales/Merchandiser personnel in their servicing of products for accounts assigned to each route; establish the proper service frequency and stock level requirements for each account and function as assistant to District Manager of assigned location
- Supervise assigned personnel including assignment of work, establishment of objectives, maintenance of adequate records, on the job training and development, performance evaluation and review, terminations, transfers and promotions.
- Provide assistance to Route Sales/Merchandiser personnel in the delivery/stocking and setup of special promotional materials and product; act as a backup and support of Route Salespersons/Merchandisers for special programs.
- Investigate, clarify and reconcile cash balance differences daily and on special occasions.
- Make recommendations as necessary to improve safety and safe performance habits for Route Sales/Merchandisers and related personnel.
- Allocate objectives or quotas among the routes included under direct supervision; secure new accounts, vendor placements and where appropriate, participation in promotional programs; develop promotional programs with assigned accounts.
- Negotiate with Sales Manager the sales forecast and quota by group and route on a monthly basis; conduct sales training and briefing meetings with assigned Route Salespersons/Merchandisers.
Analyze route books to determine trends, performance, and possible suggestions and modifications to the Route Salespersons and Merchandisers activities to raise overall productivity
Job Requirements:
2 year supervision experience (beverage industry preferred)
--A valid class A CDL-and an excellent driving record.
-- Must be able to lift 50-100lbs.
-- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
