You will be part of a dedicated fleet supporting our customer. All drivers are domiciled in Flint, MI.
The primary work assignment is no-touch freight. Drivers pick up and deliver material from the Sequencing Center to the Assembly Plant. Current work schedules are 4 days / 12 hour shifts and possible weekends. All drivers are home daily.
Position is Teamster represented.
- Late Model Equipment. Tandem Axle Day Cabs.
-2018 trailer fleet
- $50 to $60K annual W2 potential
Paid Time Off:
-Vacation - Five days after year 1, associates are eligible for additional paid time off in subsequent years based on their continued length of service.
-Paid Holidays - Ten (10) paid holidays annually.
-Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment.
-Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
-Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.
-Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery.
-At least 23 years of age
-CDL Class A license required
-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 5 years
-3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents
-Reliable and customer oriented
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
