Route/Activity - Ideal candidate will be a part of a team that will support a world leader in rolled aluminum products delivering unique solutions for the most demanding global applications, such as beverage cans, automobiles, and architecture and consumer electronics. In the event that there are no shipments to be prepared, you may be asked to move local shipments in the Metro Detroit area, or, deliver shipments from Flat Rock, MI to various aluminum supplier locations such as Minster, OH, Anderson, IN, and Bluffton, OH. This would still be home daily work and it will be secondary work if there is no work available.
Shift - M-F 10:00am- 8:00pm & Monday-Friday 4:00pm-2:00 am- Subject to change, some overtime available.
Equipment - Day cabs, 2018-2020 Cascadia Freightliner trailer (mostly automatics - some manual), tri-axle day cab. Universal trailer - 42' flat bed with stationary walls and removable tarp and 48' Conestoga Flat. 2018 Freightliner trucks with automatic transmissions. Universal trailers "UT"s and Conestoga trailers - which roll forward & backward.
Compensation - $5,000 Sign On Bonus
Securing & preparing shipments at domicile: $22.50 per hour plus time and a half after 40 hours. Local driving- IN, OH, MI: $.47 CPM plus additional pay for live unload and stops.
-Loading, unloading, or assisting in loading and unloading truck.
-Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment.
-Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
-Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.
-Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery.
-At least 23 years of age
-CDL Class A license required
-1 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 3 years
-3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents
-Reliable and customer oriented
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

-The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
