Job Overview

Transport Driver

The Transport Driver is responsible for providing unfailing support to Sales and Operations by assuring that the Distribution Centers always have the merchandise to support the Company's ability to meet or exceed our customers' needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full time permanent position paid hourly, starting at $24.89 per hour. Attractive benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401K.

Shift and Schedule

This is a full time position working Monday through Friday. The schedule is starting at 8pm working until the route is completed. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as the business needs.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine vehicle inspection and operates vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Operate semi-tractor and trailer of full Dr. Pepper Snapple Group brands and picks up empty product transport containers or pallets in assigned warehouses.
  3. Maintain DOT time log and other required transport documentation.
  4. Develop and maintain positive Company image in the trade and industry to achieve the Company's objective for the overall growth and availability of Keurig Dr. Pepper Snapple Group brands.
  5. Transport the right merchandise to the right place at the right time in the most cost effective and safe manner.
  6. Be vigilant in assuring safety as well as the cost-efficient maintenance and operation of Company vehicles by: performing daily vehicle inspections and address any concerns immediately, maintaining immediate and open communication regarding road hazards, etc., training all new employees in safety procedures and preventative maintenance.
  7. Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
  8. Exhibit thorough communication with the dispatch team and Transport supervision.


Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL)
  • 2 years recent commercial driving experience
  • Ability to operate a 10 speed manual transmission
  • Ability to maintain valid DOT Qualification File
