H&N Wind and Electric, a division of Timken Motor & Crane Services, is currently seeking a Route Sales Driver for the Pasco, Washington site. The role of this position is to cover the Pacific Northwest region in a territory primarily comprised within 150 miles of Pasco, WA with occasional travel to the western side of Washington and Oregon. Additional duties include maintaining and improving sales to new and existing customer accounts, selling powertrain component repair, and transporting and delivering repaired apparatus to customers.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Establish in-depth knowledge of customers and markets within the assigned territory.
  • Stay current on company product offerings and their related prime market applications and aftermarket potential.
  • Visit customer sites and perform informal, preliminary equipment surveys as required. Provide direct liaison support to Field Service problems when required.
  • Provide comprehensive quotes/proposals to meet customer's requirements. Follow up and convert opportunities into profitable sales.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient travel routing system to include an organized and efficient loading/unloading system.
  • Provide the customer with an accurate delivery ticket and picking list.
  • Manage time and priorities for maximum efficiency and sales effectiveness with the available resources.
  • Assess and analyze the territory market needs and customer base to create an effective market plan. Gain intimate knowledge of customers' projects and strategies.
  • Be accountable for accurate sales call reporting, quotation follow up and closing transactions in a timely manner.
  • Build customer confidence in the ability of the company and you to meet their needs.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree preferred
  • 2 years of previous route driving experience
  • Valid driver's license; CDL preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • 2 years of technical motor sales experience preferred
  • Technical knowledgeable of electric motors, switchgear, gearboxes, component manufacturing, repair, and test procedures

The hourly compensation for this role is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour and is commensurate on experience and education. Promotional opportunities are available upon skills development and mastery.
